Long before opening up as a premier wedding venue, The Riverside served as a community favorite. The space was built in 1914, where it first operated as a candy shop. As time went on, it would assume a host of different identities such as a photography studio, an architecture office, a disco, a restaurant, and an art gallery. These days, it operates as an event space where people can gather around and create long-lasting memories. From yoga classes to music performances, there is always something new happening here! And with over 4,000 square feet available to rent, it is ready to make sure you can have the day of your dreams.
Details of the Grounds
The Riverside is equipped with venues you can use throughout your wedding day. If you do choose to put on the finishing touches on-site, the venue offers a separate bridal suite as well as a groom’s room. Both of these spaces stay authentic to the vibe of the venue, giving you the perfect backdrop as you share some candid moments with your friends.
For your ceremony, you will have a few options. If you would prefer something outdoors, you can go to their private patio. This area is ideal for more intimate celebrations, with its layout lending itself more towards standing ceremonies rather than seated occasions. With brick walls and carefully planted hedges, it is a lush spot with tons of photo potential! The dramatic staircase leading to the area is ideal for your grand entrance.
If you would prefer something a little more spacious, you can use the Agora Room. This space takes industrial chic to a brand new level with plaster ceilings, exposed metal piping, and exposed brick walls. Thanks to a large skylight that extends to the side of the room, your wedding pictures will get tons of natural sunlight. This area is able to host up to 120 guests. If you are planning an elopement, you can use the Creek Room, where you will have floor-to-ceiling windows running across most of the room. The exposed brick walls and the wooden ceiling add a bit of romance to the atmosphere! This area can host up to 20 guests.
Explore The Grounds For Cocktail Hour And Receptions At The Riverside Wedding Venue
Once it’s time for your wedding cocktail hour, your guests can head out to The Riverside Patio, where they can order custom drinks from the venue bar. The neighboring creek adds to the ambiance, while the tiered levels will give your guests the ability to spread out and mingle.
If you would prefer an indoor cocktail hour, you will be able to use The Cafe. This area is a little smaller with room for up to 40 guests. The brick interior is fantastic on its own, but the built-in bar lined with copper pennies makes this spot even better!
For your reception, you can head back into the Agora Room. The room has an open floor plan and will help you find the configuration that works best for your party. They will also take care of any in-house audio/visual needs.
If you would prefer an outdoor reception, you can use the Patio. You will be able to host up to 100 seated guests around the tables that have been permanently placed by the venue. The staircase and balcony are the perfect spot to do a bouquet toss!
Photography Opportunities
With The Riverside, you will have so many amazing venues and backdrops for your wedding photos. The interior of the space has so many large windows and skylights that will ensure you have natural lighting throughout most of your day. You can use this area for your individual portraits or head outside and use the staircase to show off your train.
Once it’s time for your couple’s portraits, you can take some stylish pictures over in The Cafe or head outside to the Patio to take advantage of the lush space. From there, you can go to the front of the building, where you can get pictures in front of the house’s historic facade. You will also be a short drive away from Flagstaff Mountain if you want to spend some time taking portraits out in the midst of nature.
Wedding Details
The Riverside makes it as easy as possible to host your wedding at their venue! You will be able to pick from a few packages that will include all the details you could need. All rentals offer a baseline rental time of 5 hours with the ability to add on more as needed. While the space is gorgeous on its own, it does have a few rentals you can use to take things to the next level. They can also handle the silverware, linens, and glassware.
Before your wedding day arrives, you will be able to work with them to create a customized menu. Their culinary team will then be there throughout your celebration to take care of food and drinks. The venue is going to provide you with a day-of coordinator who will make sure your day is absolutely seamless. Your guests will be able to park in the neighboring parking garage to make things even easier!
