Yes, it is a wedding venue, but really, this location was built to acknowledge every wonderful milestone throughout life. They host everything from baby showers to community meetings, offering a safe haven where people can gather as they prepare for the next chapter.
The idea was born several years back when the couple behind the location wanted to develop a peaceful space for counseling. They stumbled upon the Strauss Cabin Church and almost instantly began to envision the future waiting for them at this property. They began to work with a local architect, and together, they created a space worthy of every celebration. Along the way, the community pulled together, offering their encouragement and support. Today, they see the venue as a place where they can be a light in the heart of Fort Collins.
Details of the Grounds
Strauss Cabin Farmhouse has been designed to give you specialty spaces for every part of your wedding day! Brides will be able to start their day in the Upper Level, where they will have a designated Bridal Loft. This space is sunny and modern, with a private bathroom you can use throughout your day. You will have everything you need, including a large vanity mirror, tons of outlets, a gown hook, and a dress rack.
Meanwhile, on the Lower Level, the groom will have his own space to get ready with his party. This spot has been outfitted with a flatscreen TV, table games, and a kitchen for refreshments.
The Garden is the best spot for your ceremony! This spot feels completely secluded, featuring a tree-lined fence with a tranquil creek on the other side. Many couples choose to set their altar between the tree gaps so they can share this moment with the verdant branches on either side. You are going to have a picture-perfect location where you can exchange your vows while surrounded by nature!
If you would prefer an indoor ceremony, the Harvest Room is always a great option! Often reserved for church services, this area offers an intimate space you can transform into your own! The front features a small stage with barn wood as your backdrop.

The Terrace is a great option for your cocktail hour! Nestled right alongside The Garden, your guests can gather around white picnic tables and share drinks beneath the string lights. For your reception, you will have several options. Many couples choose to stay outside in The Garden where they can celebrate beneath the stars. As the sun starts to set, the countryside comes to life, giving you the perfect ambiance for your celebration! This area will be able to accommodate up to 150 guests and features a paved area ideal for your tables and chairs. Inside, you will be able to either use the Creekside Room or the Harvest Room. The Creekside Room can host up to 50 guests.

They have a list of vendor partners with professionals they know will take your celebration to the next level (including me!). The owners let you purchase all of your own alcohol that will then be served by their licensed bar team. That way, you can keep it legal while also saving money. The venue will connect you with their dedicated coordinator right from the beginning, and they will create a weather plan so you can celebrate no matter the forecast!
