8735 North Foothills Hwy, Boulder, Colorado 80302
Greenbriar Inn is a hidden wedding venue gem that has been around for over 50 years, providing unforgettable experiences! In fact, it’s where my husband and I celebrate Valentines Day every year!
The building dates back to 1873 when it was constructed as a general store and a postal office. Eventually, the building added gas pumps in the front to accommodate the increasing popularity of household vehicles. For years, the building sat quietly on the side of a dying mining town until 1967, when it was purchased by restaurateurs. From there, it was transformed into an inn that specialized in crafting unique events as well as some of the best meals in all of Colorado.
Today, the restaurant is frequently recognized by publications and websites such as OpenTable, Wedding Wire, The Knot, and Wine Spectator. Their kitchen uses seasonal ingredients to create modern American cuisine with a twist. And while I know their meals are worth savoring, it is the stunning location that makes this spot so perfect!

With Greenbriar Inn, you will be able to upgrade your wedding day into a wedding weekend. This venue offers an on-site cabin with one bedroom that you can rent out for a few nights. With this option, you will have a cozy and spacious area where you can get ready with your bridal party ahead of your ceremony. Then, once the party is over, you’ll have the perfect spot to crash!
For your ceremony, you will have several options. Most couples choose to take advantage of the views by hosting their weddings outside. The venue gives you two options for this. Those who prefer to host a larger ceremony will be able to use the Cabin Lawn, where you can host up to 300 guests. This area is going to give you 14 lush acres of woodlands as your backdrop. You can place your altar at the front of the space so you can exchange your vows in front of Left Hand Canyon.
Smaller ceremonies can take advantage of the serenity of Greenbriar Falls. This area features two ponds as well as a stream and a waterfall that will enhance the ambiance as you trade I dos. This area is able to host up to 200 guests.
Once it’s time for your cocktail hour, your guests can head to the Fountain Patio, where they can grab drinks outside near the house. This area is immaculate with a perfectly groomed lawn next to vibrant plants. There are several built-in tables as well as a custom stone bar where your guests can order speciality drinks.
For your wedding reception, you will be able to pick from a few indoor and outdoor Greenbriar Inn options. If you would prefer to stay outside, you can use the South Lawn. This area is lovely and intimate with string lights that illuminate the verdant grounds. Out here, you can host up to 50 guests.
If you would prefer to go inside, you can use the Upstairs Dining Room and Balcony. This area feels like a vintage lodge with green carpets, glass chandeliers, and wooden accents that run across the walls and ceilings. This is one of the largest areas, offering space for up to 110 guests. It can also be used as a ceremony space for indoor weddings.
The Main Dining Room is another favorite area, offering the same rustic feel of the Upstairs Dining Room while adding a full-sized bar. This area can hold up to 190 guests. More intimate celebrations can use the Sunroom just outside of the Main Dining Hall. This space features floor-to-ceiling windows on the exterior walls with the classic emerald green paint of the building’s facade running across the Dining Room wall. With enough space for up to 50 guests, this spot is ideal for microweddings and elopements.

With Greenbriar Inn, you will have no shortage of dreamy photo backdrops! With over 20 acres available to use, you will be able to find spots you adore! Once you are done getting ready inside the cabin, you can step just outside, where you can get views of the mountains as your backdrop. For your couple’s portraits, a visit to Greenbriar Falls is a must! The waterfalls here will give you a romantic spot where you can sneak a kiss. The open woodlands and private, tree-lined paths are going to ensure you have dreamy pictures to celebrate your day.
Greenbriar Inn is going to make sure you have everything you need for a flawless wedding celebration. You will start out by working with their culinary team to make a menu for your wedding. They can handle it all, from specialty drinks and hors d’oeuvres to plated dinners that go across cuisines. Your venue rental will include an on-site coordinator, a one-and-a-half-hour set-up before your event, and a rehearsal dinner the week leading up to your event. Throughout your day, you will have an experienced event staff there to keep things running smoothly. Additionally, their team is able to make your event space match the theme and size of your party.
