When Kyle and Mariah Braly first moved onto his family’s property in 2023, they instantly knew they had stumbled upon some place uniquely special. The land was truly gorgeous with dense treelines, clear blue skies, and a rushing river to add to the ambiance. The couple began to explore ways to share this gift with others, eventually deciding to turn it into a wedding venue.
The two went to work restoring age-worn paths, building brand new structures, and transforming it into a space worthy of every celebration. In the end, they created a breathtaking plot with thoughtfully designed spots to make your day seamless. The pair has also created The Ranch Collective to give you an experienced team ready to help you plan your entire wedding. When you book this spot, you can count on photo-worthy backdrops as well as friends ready to deliver the event of your dreams.
Details of the Grounds
At Lazy Stud Ranch, their goal is to give you everything you need for your celebration in one convenient space! The Bralys have built a modern farmhouse where you can stay throughout your wedding weekend. You can host your rehearsal dinner on-site, share some drinks in the gazebo, and then turn in for the evening in this cozy space. The next morning, you will have a stylish spot to get ready with your besties before your ceremony starts! The house has been built to give you plenty of space to bring in a hair and makeup team.
Their team is going to work with you to find the best spot for your ceremony. The field alongside the pond is always a favorite! You can walk down the green aisle past the cedars before standing beneath the willow tree and exchanging vows as the branches sway around you. The tranquil water just to the side is going to give you a serene backdrop for your portraits.
Everything After Your Lazy Stud Ranch Ceremony
Once you are done exchanging your vows, your guests can stick around and enjoy a cocktail hour outside as you take your portraits. The open fields will give you the opportunity to set up lawn games so your guests can pass the time until dinner.
Then, once it’s time for your reception, your guests can walk back down the stone path and gather near the farmhouse beneath the event tent. This area will be right next to the industrial metal gazebo, ideal for placing your bar. This area has a paved patio right alongside it where guests can mingle as they enjoy their drinks. Then, once it’s time for your dinner, you can settle down in the tent where you can have the meal of your choice.
The venue has a dance floor that they will put next to the tent so you can be ready for hours of dancing! Lazy Stud Ranch is able to accommodate up to 200 guests and offers plenty of space, so it never feels too crowded.
Photography Opportunities
Lazy Stud Ranch truly does feel as though it was created for portraits. As you get ready in the farmhouse, you are going to have a space that perfectly matches the vibes. You can grab drinks at the wet bar, relax on the leather furniture, and then grab drinks outside, taking full advantage of the open fields and natural sunlight!
While there are a lot of great spots for your first look portraits, I love the idea of using the flower-lined path leading up to the ceremony spot. This walkway has tall trees along the side, giving you the feeling of seclusion for this intimate moment. The flowers in the background also don’t hurt!
The ceremony spot is going to double as the ideal place for your group portraits. You can gather in front of the willow or alongside the lake and get pictures with all the people who mean the most to you. Then, once it’s time for your couple’s portraits, you will be able to explore the property and get the foothills of Colorado in the backdrop.
The location is ideal for a sunset reception where you can get those warm golden rays showing off behind you as you celebrate late into the evening.
