Rembrandt Yard has always been a wedding venue designed to stick out. This Boulder venue was founded by Doug Greene and Tiffany Mitchum, a husband-and-wife team who felt inspired to create a local space that celebrated their part-time residence in Amsterdam. Doug brings years of experience to his work. He owns both the Boulder and Fox Theaters and knows how to throw a show-stopping event. Meanwhile, Tiffany is an artist and former chef whose influence can be found all across the building. They formally opened the doors to this venture in 2004, offering a space where people could gather, enjoy some really good food, and check out the latest work from local artists.
Today, this venue has everything you could need for your dream day. It’s bold yet inviting, edgy yet refined. Beyond giving you a one-of-a-kind backdrop, they are going to provide you with a knowledgeable wedding team who is going to put together a day that perfectly matches you!
Details of the Grounds
With Rembrandt Yard, your wedding rental will last for a full 13 hours with the ability to add on four hours for getting ready. If you do decide on this option (which I highly recommend!), you will have access to the Champagne Suite as well as the Whiskey Lounge, where you and your partner can get ready for the day alongside your respective wedding parties. Both of these spaces feature plenty of natural light, ideal for candid pictures.
The venue has two floors that you are going to be able to use throughout your day. This is going to give you the ability to move effortlessly from one portion to the next. You start out on the upper level (3rd Floor), with an intimate ceremony with up to 150 guests. This space is light and airy, serving as a blank slate so you can infuse your own style throughout. You are going to have white walls, birch hardwood floors, and large windows throughout that let the sunshine stream in.
Incredible Wedding Receptions At Rembrandt Yard
After your ceremony, guests will head downstairs to the Gallery Floor (2nd Floor) for cocktail hour. During this time, we get to take our time grabbing portraits around the space and outside at a ton of local favorite spots. Meanwhile, the guests get to enjoy the fresh air in the courtyard or mingle around the couches and artwork. At the same time, the Rembrandt Yard team will flip the 3rd Floor for your reception!
Just like with the ceremony space, this area was designed to be a blank canvas. You can pick your own layout and find the floor plan that makes the most sense for your party. It being a blank canvas also gives you the option to decorate to your heart’s desire or embrace the art gallery aesthetics. A special touch is the wooden beams running across the ceiling, which can be outfitted with vines to add some color. With the right amount of florals, this room becomes downright divine!
Alongside the dance floor, your guests will love the bar and lounge. This area includes a fireplace, modular furniture, and, most importantly, the bar, which typically lives here. The entire floor provides ample space for your entertainment, whether you go with a band or a DJ.
Photography Opportunities
With Rembrandt Yard, you can choose from a range of picture-perfect locations for your wedding portraits. The get-ready suites were designed to give you a simple backdrop where you and your wedding party can be the stars of the show. The Champagne Suite features a mirrored stage outfitted with vanity lights so you can stand and show off your dress. You can also pose on the vintage furniture nestled next to the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Once it’s time for your first look pictures, you can use the courtyard, where you will have a private pathway for this moment. Your couple’s pictures can continue to happen outside amidst the hedges. For your group photos, I recommend using the outside balcony, where you will be able to celebrate with your family and friends. The LOVE sign on the black bricks will be the perfect touch for your backdrop! Within walking distance are also a ton of incredible spots featuring both nature’s beauty and more urban settings, which are all perfect for a unique wedding portrait collection.

Booking your wedding at Rembrandt Yard couldn’t be any simpler! You will get started by booking one of their inclusive wedding packages, where you can pick your ideal tier of amenities. These are going to be completely customizable, so you can choose what you want throughout your day. In addition to all the essentials, these packages can include pre-selected vendors to make the planning process simpler. You can also pick to simply rent out the venue and then bring your own vision to the entire planning process!
With every rental, you are going to have access to both floors, so you can have a designated space for every second of your wedding. The movable bar fronts will ensure you can pick the layout that makes the most sense for your party. The venue will provide you with the tables and chairs, and they can offer dedicated staff members who will be there to make sure your wedding is positively seamless.
