A little over 15 years ago, a Colorado couple named Betsy and Mike started a hobby farm. In the beginning, there really wasn’t much to it. They kept chickens, goats, llamas, and alpacas, tending to them on their four acres. They also started to grow their own vegetables, herbs, and flowers. As time went on, they began to pour their entire heart into this project until it became their full-time careers. They constantly researched sustainable farming techniques, creating an entirely organic farm. Along the way, they also worked to educate members of the community on their farming methods.
These days, you can find the couple hosting events and weddings at Lyons Farmette while working with their handpicked teams of experts. They love bringing their own flair to every celebration, creating an environment unlike any other. From providing you with exceptional food to crafting the dreamiest of wedding locations, this is a team that is ready to be there for you through it all!
Details of the Grounds
Every inch of Lyons Farmette has been curated to give you a picture-perfect backdrop for your wedding celebration. As you get ready for your day, you will be able to choose from several get-ready spaces. The Vintage Airstream tends to be a favorite for grooms. This fully renovated trailer packs in a lot of charm while giving you a spot to relax with your friends. If you are looking for something a bit more spacious, they offer a farmhouse complete with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. This space is ready to keep you in comfort throughout your entire wedding morning with a full kitchenette you can use as you please.
Then, it will be time for your ceremony. The venue has a few spots across the four acres you will be able to reserve for your celebration. They will work with you to find the ideal space to trade your I dos. With tranquil streams, lush trees, and a colorful flower field, you will be able to find your dream setting!
Cocktail Hour And Wedding Receptions At Lyons Farmette
Once you have exchanged your vows, your guests can head over to the patio area, where they can grab drinks from a vintage bar. This area is positively charming with string lights and ivy that covers the exterior walls. As you go take your pics in the flowers, your guests will be able to sip on signature cocktails and lounge on the vintage furniture.
From here, it will be time for your reception. Those who would prefer an outdoor party can reserve the fields where they can feast and dance beneath the string lights. An antique tractor is the perfect touch to this space! If you want an indoor reception, you can use the Modern Wood Barn. This area has everything you need for the ideal party: heating and AC, guest bathrooms, and an indoor sound system. The interior is bright and neutral with white walls and a wooden raftered ceiling. You can easily take this area and transform it to match your style! Whether you choose an indoor or outdoor wedding, you will be able to accommodate up to 125 guests.
If you do feel like hosting an after-party, the venue has a fire pit near the creek, complete with mobile outdoor heaters. You can sit around, share some memories, and make some s’mores!

As you get ready in the designated spaces, you will have picture-perfect backdrops. While the farmhouse has plenty of natural lighting for your candid pics, the Airstream is begging for photos with your wedding party!
Once it’s time for couple’s portraits, you will be able to use the flower fields. Filled with colorful cosmos and zinnias, this is going to be such a rich backdrop where you can share a kiss! The farm lets you get up close and personal with the animals for your photos. From the adorable goats to the friendly alpacas, you can find some pretty fun cameos! Additionally, you will be able to find countless nature-filled spaces with the Rockies in the background.

Before you book with them, you will be able to schedule a tour so you can see the site for yourself and envision what your wedding will look like. Currently, the venue does not have their own coordination services, but they work very closely with Dahlia Events and Designs. They recommend using this group so you can have insider knowledge as you start to plan your day!
During your rental period, you will have access to all of the facilities, including the Farmhouse and the Airstream. The venue is going to provide you with the tables and chairs, plus they will offer a few vintage automobiles for your pictures. They use a preferred vendor list that will take care of your food, drinks, and DJs. This list will include professionals who work across every style to ensure your celebration is perfectly suited to you! Additionally, your caterers will have access to their on-site kitchen for food prep.
