Brookside Gardens is one of the most unique wedding venues around! This cozy, historic farmhouse combines those classic Rocky Mountain views with lush gardens, giving you countless backdrops for every kind of celebration! As a Berthoud wedding photographer, I love working with my clients to make sure they can have an event that perfectly suits them. Here is what you can expect with a Brookside Gardens wedding

About The Brookside Gardens Wedding Venue

619 E Co Rd 8, Berthoud, Colorado 80513

While Colorado certainly has no shortage of historic farmhouses, it’s hard to find one quite like that at Brookside Gardens. Originally built in 1889, the primary house is absolutely pristine with a brick facade, red barn doors, and ivy draped along the outside. The house itself might be charming, but the rest of the property is what makes this venue so special. The estate rests on three acres, and every square inch has been perfectly manicured. As you explore the grounds, you are going to stumble upon mature trees, vibrant flowers, plant-covered pergolas, and even a waterfall. The crowning jewel is the Ceremony Halo, where you can exchange your vows while surrounded by verdant plants.

Brookside Gardens was acquired in January 2026 by Wedgewood Weddings. This is the leading wedding group in the nation, pairing the iconic views with an events team that knows how to throw a celebration you and your guests will never forget. They bring years of experience to all of their weddings, offering unparalleled package options that are going to give you everything you could possibly need. With this group, your dream wedding is just a call away!

Details of the Grounds

With Brookside Gardens, you are going to have everything you could possibly need right here on the grounds! Your morning will begin inside the farmhouse itself, where you will have two dressing suites to prepare for your day. These rooms have been thoughtfully arranged to be on different levels to keep you separate from your partner as long as you would like. The Garden Suite is ideal for brides, giving you ample seating, large windows, and full-sized mirrors for when it’s time to put on your wedding gown.

Meanwhile, The Overlook Lounge is perfect for grooms! This space is refined yet masculine with brushed leather furniture and moody wallpaper. Grab some beers or whiskey and take this time to celebrate everything that comes next!

Once it’s time for your ceremony, you can use the exterior staircase that will take you directly from the dressing suite into the Ceremony Halo. All eyes will be on you as you make your dramatic entrance into this stunning space! The halo itself is a circular wooden pergola with a large opening in the center. String lights have been strung across, while flowers hang from the beams. Your altar will be placed at the front so you can exchange your vows with the trees and the stone in the backdrop.

If you are planning a winter wedding (or the weather just doesn’t want to participate), you can use the Fireside Room. Located inside the farmhouse, this is a quaint space with wooden floors, white raftered ceilings, and tan walls. A stone fireplace rests at the front, giving you a built-in altar.

Cocktails And Wedding Receptions At Brookside Gardens

For your cocktail hour, you will be able to choose whether you want to host drinks throughout the gardens or inside in the Garden Parlor. This area is filled with historic charm, offering exposed brick walls, a full-sized wet bar, and vintage chandeliers.

Finally, it will be time to host a romantic reception inside the Garden Side Pavilion. This is a covered space with large windows that let in the views. The ceiling has been outfitted with crystal chandeliers and more string lights, creating a dreamy ambiance that will last late into the night.

Brookside Gardens is able to host up to 300 guests, making this the ideal location for pretty much every wedding size.

Photography Opportunities

There are a few properties out here that are as photogenic as Brookside! As you start getting ready, you will have the historic suites as your background. Both of these spaces have been well-decorated with elegant furniture, where you can take candid pictures. Then, once your wedding look is complete, you can step just outside and use the landing for portraits rich in natural sunlight.

You will have plenty of options for your first look pictures. But I’m personally a fan of the Garden Arbor for this intimate moment. The namesake arbor has been covered with vining plants and vivid petunias with a tree growing in the center. As you see each other for the first time, you will feel like you are in your own private world! From there, you can remain in the gardens where you can find romantic backdrops like the waterfall, the private grove, and the front of the house itself. Meanwhile, the Ceremony Halo will be the best spot to get group pics with all the people who made this day possible!
